AVON Calling… and the causes they support

When you hear that someone is selling AVON, I’m sure your mind goes to make-up or perfume. However, it might surprise you that AVON is Vitale_Microsite_Difference_Elevate_Bannermore than skin deep. It’s more than selling products to make you more beautiful. There’s actually a cause behind what they do.

Since 1955, the AVON Foundation for Women has helped improve the lives of women and their families through their Speak-Out Against Domestic Violence Program and the AVON Breast Cancer Crusade. The foundation also supports disaster relief when national and international emergencies occur.

In 2013, AVON raised and awarded more than $957 million to support these causes. Funds for this are raised in various ways. The AVON Walk for Breast Cancer occurs nationally in eight different locations throughout each year. More information about the walk can be found at http://www.avonwalk.org.

The Independent Sales Representatives periodically sell Pink Ribbon products. A portion of each sale goes directly toward the Breast Cancer Crusade. Direct donations are always welcome through their website (www.avonfoundation.org) and other opportunities to get involved come up and are announced through their website.

While AVON has been involved in breast cancer research since 1955, they specifically launched the AVON Breast Cancer Crusade in 1992, awarding more than $815 million to support the breast cancer cause worldwide. These efforts include programs in more than 50 countries to bring awareness and provide access and care to women. Programs focus on providing the medically underserved women with high-quality breast cancer screening and treatment.

Some of the Pink Ribbon products will be coming up in the next two campaigns, introducing a new produc2014-c21-anew-vitale-brandt, ANEW Vitale Day cream and Night cream. This product will sell at the same price as similar products of its kind, but $5 from each sale will go directly toward the Breast Cancer Crusade. The campaign will take place from the end of September into the first two weeks of October. Other Pink Ribbon products will be sold during those campaigns as well, and will be marked accordingly, identifying how much of that product sale will go to the Breast Cancer Crusade.
