Following the Quad City Mallards v. Missouri Mavericks

The Mallards dropped their first contest back from the All-Star Break Jan. 24, losing 2-1 against the Missouri Mavericks.

The score remained knotted at zero until 39 seconds into the third period where Josh Brittain received help from Geoff Walker and Sebastien Thinel. In the final frame at 8:10, Jack Downing extended the lead to 2 off of assists from Lindsay Sparks and Jared Brown.

Joe Perry drew the Flock within one at 14:23 while five seconds remained in the power play. Logan Nelson assisted on Perry’s tally.

The three stars of the game were

Parker Milner made 29 saves on 31 shots for Mike Clemente’s 26 saves on 27 shots.

This was Bennett Schneider’s Mallards debut, as well as the first time Nicolas Rioux suited up for the Mallards since returning from his call-up to Iowa.
