Insurgent will throw you for a loop

With Insurgent coming to theaters in a matter of days, some students are scrambling to get their hands on a copy of the book to see what’s in store.

I would be scrambling myself if I hadn’t plowed through it shortly after finishing the first book, Divergent. If you are on the fence about reading the book, let me put my two cents in and see if that helps you make your decision.

The book starts off slow at first, a lot of hiding and not much fighting, but soon enough our heroes are soon forced into action when the Dauntless search the Amity camps for the refugees.

Those who can escape go to Candor to find shelter. Candor, a faction who values truth above all else, questions their new guests to put truth behind them before they can be welcomed in with open arms.

It is not long before Jeanine forces Tris into a difficult decision. Before we know it, Tris is risking her life for the sake of all Divergents.

Loyalties are tested, truths revealed, and so much more in this second installment of Veronica Roth’s hit series.

I found this book very action packed. I was kept on my toes and surprised at every juicy turn. I rarely put the book down and couldn’t wait to get my hands on the third installment once I finished it.

I would highly recommend this book to everyone, especially if you are a fan of the Hunger Games. Overall, I would give the book a 9 out of 10.

See you at the theaters!
