“Embrace the target” is the message that Cubs second year Manager, Joe Maddon, is trying to get through to his guys after they got a big taste of success in 2015.
It was a long and grueling process for the organization and its fans, after many years of watching their beloved Cubs almost lose on purpose in order to rebuild. Some people are saying the Cubs arrived a year or two earlier than expected considering all the success of the highly touted prospects brought in by team President, Theo Epstein, and General Manager, Jed Hoyer.

This season of college basketball has had a lot to offer, such as the usual upsets, exciting players,and pleasant surprises. A strong indication of just how this season is playing out, is the fact that the defending National Champion Duke Blue Devils have fallen out of the top 25. Then you have more of a football school in Oklahoma, being lead by arguably the nation’s best player, Buddy Hield, holding down the number one spot in the country. After starting off the season 2-0, the Black Hawk men’s basketball team went on to lose eight out of their next ten games, giving them a 4-8 record to begin the year. Now for most teams, a start like this would almost be a sign of a lost season, but coach Bizarri and his guys were able to keep their composure and win seven of their next eight games, giving them a winning record to begin 2016.
