Efforts to improve campus are underway

Clean Sphere had their first meeting on September 24th. Topics of discussion were projects for the year, club officers, and future club meetings. This year the club looks forward to getting the community environmentally aware. Guest speakers, volunteer events, and informative meetings are a few ways Clean Sphere will carry out its mission.

Clean Sphere is already working on a project with the grounds department. Plans are to replace plants around the campus with alternatives native to Illinois. This is a great way to help out the environment, while becoming familiar with the history around you.

The next meeting is Thursday, October 8th at 3 p.m. in Building 2 Room 202. Contact Marilynn Bartels at bartelsm@bhc.edu if you are interested in helping with Clean Sphere projects or have any questions.
